Receive and pay by Cash, Bank or UPI, link each voucher to the invoices it settles, and keep every customer, supplier, cash, bank and UPI account in its own ledger.

Cash, Bank and UPI vouchers

NIRU has separate receipt and payment vouchers for Cash, Bank and UPI, plus a journal voucher. Each voucher is posted to your accounts as a double entry: a receipt debits the cash, bank or UPI account and credits the customer; a payment debits the supplier and credits the cash, bank or UPI account.

Settle many invoices from one voucher

A receipt or payment belongs to one party. You can allocate it across that party’s open invoices with an amount for each, including partial amounts. The voucher posts once to the ledger. Allocation links the voucher to the invoices and recalculates their outstanding; it does not create extra vouchers or postings.

Pay one invoice in parts

To receive one invoice part in Cash, part by UPI and part by Bank, record a receipt for each mode and allocate each to the same invoice. The invoice outstanding falls with every receipt. A single entry that splits one payment across several modes is not available.

Collecting while invoicing

When you save a sales or purchase invoice you can settle it immediately with Cash, Bank or UPI; NIRU creates the linked voucher in the same transaction. The Finance mode is coming soon.

Questions

Can one receipt settle several invoices?
Yes, for a single party, with an amount allocated to each invoice.
Does allocating a receipt create more receipts?
No. The voucher is posted once; allocation only links it to the invoices.
Is Finance supported as a payment mode?
Not yet. It appears as coming soon and cannot be used to settle an invoice.
